A large number of old photographs have been added to this webpage in no particular order. They were taken over a number of years at Deep River fur farm from the early 1920s'. The quality of some of the images have been enhanced, but age and wear and tear have distorted a few of them. However, the photographs give an idea of the history of Halvor Ausland's trapping days in the Northern Saskatchewan area and the founding of Deep River Fur Farm.
Deep River Fur Farm no longer exists, nature has reclaimed the area where it once stood. The buildings were burned by parties unknown, after it was abandoned and it is now so overgrown with trees it can no longer be seen even at a few feet from the banks of the Churchill River.
